Pyramid Worship
Recent book explores the dimensions
of a new theological phenomenon

In this book, Waleed Toughan mentioned that every sixth of March, the cults of "Crimson Crescent," "Solidarity Symbol," and "Sons of Light" gather in the Giza plateau in front of King Kufu's great pyramid. Their gathering has the motto of "life, death, afterlife, and supernatural powers." The 27-year-old journalist at Rosa El-Youssef weekly Cairo magazine added that more than seven million American, Europeans, and Japanese are associated with these cults and are practicing believers of their philosophies. In their gathering, after long silent prayer, the first two cults perform loud musical rituals to awaken the supernatural powers present in the burial chamber of the great pyramid. In the meantime, the "Son's of Light" remain silent for hours while this tradition is performed. All these people are looking for immortality and eternal life, an ideological reflection of the pyramid's owners , the Pharaohs!

Toughan's book is a cocktail full of history, theology, Egyptology, political science, and fiction in a smart caricaturing style. He presented several beliefs about the builders. One mentioned that God himself is the pyramid -builder and selected humans to participate in this practice. Another mentioned that God engineered the pyramids and the ancient Egyptians are mere workers in that process.

Interestingly, the term pyramid originates from the Ancient Greek word "pyramis" which denotes a wheat cake.It is well known that the pyramid is made up of four triangular surfaces that meet at one point and serves as an ancient funerary complex (2686-2613 B.C.). The pyramid was much more than a magical device for the king to mount up to the sun and heaven. It has long been suggested that the "air shaft" in the great pyramid actually served some astronomical function as they are aligned with certain stars including the constellation of Orion.

To further explore this fascinating subject and in an attempt to answer many of the questions put forth by Toughan's book, The Ambassadors contacted Eng. Mostapha Gadalla the author of "Pyramid Illusion: A Journey to the Truth" in 1997.  Moustafa Gadalla is a native Egyptian living in the USA and an advocate of the super-natural powers and forces that he claims are characteristic of the pyramids.  He is an independent Egyptologist and the Chairman of the Tehuti Research Foundation. He kindly agreed to publish the following excerpt, a dialogue from his book, entitled Pyramid Power and can be reached at USHorus@aol.com

Napoleon Bonaparte in a mysterious dialogue with the
Sphinx (A painting by J.L. Gérôme Bonaparte
 Before the Sphinx
)

Q:  What is it about this King's Room.  I have this strange feeling that I can't describe.

A:  Maybe it is the Pyramid Power.

Q:  This Pyramid Power thing is just a lot of gimmicks, isn't it?

A:  Maybe not.  The facts are that if you place highly perishable materials in this room, or in a similar model of the pyramid, the materials decompose, at a much slower rate than if placed anywhere else in the world.

Q:  Tell me more about this theory.

A:  This is not a theory.  This is real.  Many experiments were conducted and the results are always the same. For example, people who experiment with blunt old-fashioned carbon steel razor blades, by placing them overnight in a model pyramid, they find that the dull blades regained their edges by the next morning.

Q:  Another mystery then?

A:  Yes, the evidence from all experiments is clear that the pyramid shape itself is responsible somehow for altering or affecting the physical, chemical and biological processes, that might take place within this particular pyramid shape.

Q:  Are there any scientific reasons for such a phenomena?

A:  Modern science can't explain many things in life.  Most modern scientists believe that if you can't see it, hear it, smell it, or touch it, then it does not exist. However, we know that the infrasound waves can't be detected by our ears, but they can shake buildings or destroy organs. Also, the ultrasound waves cannot be detected by our ears, but doctors use the power of this type of ultrasound waves, as a kind of knifeless scalpel in microsurgery.

Q:  We agree on the power of sound waves which are not detected by our ears. But are you proposing that the form (shape) of an object may have certain powers or energies?

A:  Yes.  The power of form (shape) is evident.  Prism power, for example.

Q:  What is "prism power"?

A:  When a beam of light is directed through a glass prism, the refractive properties of the prism split the beam into its constituent spectrum, and produce a rainbow.  Only the shape of a prism can do that.  If, however, a beam of light is directed through a pane of flat glass, it passes straight through it.

Q:  So, science agrees that certain shapes have certain powers.

A:  Yes, as is the case with a prism.

Q:  So there is prism power with the rainbow and a pyramid power with preserving perishable materials and other unique cases.

A:  Yes.  It is finally recognized that the earth is a living body, with channels transferring magnetic, electromagnetic and other subtle currents from the soils of the earth.  Ancient monuments, such as the pyramids and other temples of Europe and elsewhere, were deliberately constructed, at sites where these subtle energies converge.

Q:  Any special power for this granite chest?

A:  It must have a function in conjunction with the main objective/function of the pyramid.

Q:  I would like to spend a night in here.

A:  The authorities do not allow it anymore.

Q:  Does this Pyramid Power affect people?

A:  Yes.  Many visitors who were able to spend a night alone in the pyramid have reported going through strange and unique experiences.

Q:  Any famous figures?

his visit to the Giza plateau and pyramids

A:  Napoleon spent a night in the King's Room, and emerged white and shaken. He would never reveal what it was that he had experienced.

Q:  What do you think is the main objective/function of the pyramid?

A:  Ancient Egyptian buildings, pyramids, or temples were constructed as instruments that could channel telluric energies.  In Pythagorean-Platonic thought, music itself was seen as an expression of the Universal Harmony, and it was an essential part of an architect's training.

The explicit connection between visual and audible proportions in the Renaissance was derived from the ancient Egyptian applications. The Egyptians knew all about psi-org energy, because they used it.

Q:  What is psi-org energy?

A:  Psi-org combines abbreviations for psychic and orgone energy.  They are different names for the same force.  The psi field, which produces the human aura and is responsible for all psychic powers, is none other than what Wilhelm Reich, Freud's controversial Austrian disciple, called orgone energy. It comes from outer space.  It makes the stars twinkle, and the sky blue.

Orgone could be accumulated by building a box with wood on the outside and sheet iron on the inside.  the organic material lets orgone through; the metal interior reflects.  The 'bluehouse effect' takes over.  Abnormally high concentrations of psi-org energy build up inside the box.  The ancient Egyptians were the first to discover that the shape of the Great Pyramid concentrated psi-org.

Q:  But, was the pyramid laminated?

A:  Sure it was.  Early historians and travelers told us how the pyramids used to shine. Was there any testing done on this type of energy? Dr. Harald Puton, a very competent Belgian physicist who was active in the Scientology movement in Brussels a few years ago.  He found that every form of psi energy is increased by sitting under a pi-phi-psi pyramid.  One is more telepathic, more clairvoyant, more precognitive.  It is easier to initiate out-of-body experiences. Additionally, the body's aura, is more intense inside a pyramid.

Toughan's monumental work presents a crucial study of a modern contemporary movement towards pyramid worship. His fundamental assertions trigger interest for further research on the cosmological, theological, and astrological patterns involved with the pyramids as well as the social and behavioral dimensions of this movement. Is this merely another manifestation of Egypto-mania?

The Ambassadors encourages Egyptologists, theologians, historians and other scientists to analyze and assess this new theological movement. Prof. Zahi Hawass, PhD, the Director of the Giza plateau and the author of many distinguished books about the pyramids and the sphinx is invited to contribute his perspective on the queries raised by Toughan's book.
