IN THIS LIFE
In Our Life
Families have drifted apart
A gap so wide has separated
Brothers from sisters
Uncles from aunts
Husbands from wives
And Oh!
Kids from parents
In this Life
In Our Life
In complete
images
fill the portrait;
broken bits and pieces everywhere
reds, yellows and blacks have become
the colors of the day;
fire, death and plague
famine...
Are we still
there
admist thunderous echoes of pain
Are we still there
Amongst the ghostly blurred
Could we break through
to a brighter path of dignity
or is it our destiny?
