Condolences
The Ambassadors Research Foundation and the staff of the Ambassadors Magazine express their sympathy and condolences to Prof. Mahmoud Booz, the distinguished orthopedic surgeon and Executive Editor of the publication and his wife Mrs. Sarah Booz for the shocking death of their 40-year old son Sharif, their daughter-in-law Margaret O'Kennedy Booz, and grandson Ayman (with his friend Charlie Froud) in a tragic plane accident last October in Ireland. Mr. Sharif, the owner of Bristol-based property company Miller House Management, was the plane's pilot. The funerary services for the family were conducted in accordance with both Muslim and Catholic traditions. We hope that the Booz and Froud families can find peace in this time of loss.

I have been doing research on various art museums and recently came across a fascinating artist by the name of Hunter Cole, who is both an internationally shown artist and experienced geneticist. I find her art to be quite beautiful. You may view her work at the following website: http://www.huntercole.org/
artgallery/index.html . I've also included a snippet from her bio below:She reinterprets science as art through abstractions, digital art and installations. She holds a Ph.D. and Master's degree in Genetics from the University of Wisconsin—Madison, and a Bachelor of Science from the University of California-Berkeley. Dr. Cole teaches biology and art at Loyola University Chicago. She created a course, Biology Through Art, where students have the opportunity to create innovative artworks in a biology laboratory.Amanda Farnham

I have written a poem on Egyptian history which mainly concerns the influence of the Pharaoh Akhnaton. It has been published on the Internet and can easily be read alone or in a group setting for discussion. I wondered if you review poetry. I will be glad to send you more information if you wish.

I see that you noted with regret the passing of Prof. Dr. Fawzi Gadalla in a newsletter from back in January 2003. My mother, Patricia Hamrick, was a dear friend of Dr. Gadalla. Dr. Gadalla was a fine man. I visited him in Egypt in 1962. I was sorry to learn of his passing. But I appreciate the thoughtful comments you included in his memory. We live in a world where I believe we need to treasure our interconnections!

Perhaps you can answer a question about the Ebers Papyrus. The remedies list substances in fractions, yet the fractions do not add up to 100%. What do the fractions mean?

Thanks a lot for your "wonderful issue". I have an article which has been published in a journal in Iran on "The lost word in the world", which is about the pollution and Ozone layer. If I find enough time to write it in English it will be an honor for me to be published in your valuable Magazine.
