A lifetime in photographs:
Millions who marked the 1st anniversary of the death of the Princess Diana Spencer on 31 August will never forget the terrible tragedy that lead to her death in Paris with her companion Mr. Dodi El-Fayed. A year is a long time, but not for those dedicated pilgrims who have travelled many miles to visit her shrine at the family estate in Althorp. For many, it still seems like yesterday when the young energetic Princess was going to the Oscars, fundraising for AIDS or fighting landmines. On this occasion, the Ambassadors dedicates this photodocumentary to the memory of the Princess who touched millions of hearts and lives.

Princess Diana with the 87-years-old Albanian nun, Mother Teresa, whose tomb has become one of Calcutta's most popular pilgrimage sites for people of all faiths. Both Mother Teresa and Princess Diana died in the same month.

The Ambassadors sends its greatest respect to Diana's dashing sons Prince William & Prince Harry, for their brave and courageous stand after the loss of their mother. One of the most notable dedications made to Diana, was the hit-single "Candle in the Wind" which was performed at the Princess's the British singer, Elton John, sang in Westminister Abbey September 6, 1997:
Candle in the wind
Goodbye England's Rose
May you ever grow in our hearts.
You were the grace that placed itself
Where lives were torn apart.
You called out to our country,
And you whispered to those in pain.
Now you belong to heaven,
And the stars spell out your name.And it seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind:
Never fading with the sunset
When the rain set in.
And your footsteps will always fall here,
Along England's greenest hills;
Your candle's burned out long before
Your legend ever will.Loveliness we've lost;
These empty days without your smile.
This torch we'll always carry
For our nation's golden child.
And even though we try,
The truth brings us to tears;
All our words cannot express
The joy you brought us through the years.And it seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind:
Never fading with the sunset
When the rain set in.
And your footsteps will always fall here,
Along England's greenest hills;
Your candle's burned out long before
Your legend ever will.Goodbye England's Rose
May you ever grow in our hearts.
You were the grace that placed itself
Where lives were torn apart.
Goodbye England's Rose,
From a country lost without your soul,
Who'll miss the wings of your compassion
More than you'll ever know.
