Make a Difference!

Let us put to practice what we believe to be true
Leave a heritage for remembrance!
I want to write a song to be sung
Write words to be read
Write lines to be quoted.
Oh! How much is it that I wanna give...
I want to lend a hand, lend a book,
Help out with a thought, a view, an outlook.
Spread love if I can to those desperate and lonely.
Wish to adopt a stand where hands do meet
To help one another, care so for each other
And establish through this lovely unity
A Force, invincible
To conquer the ugly, selfish and greedy
And transplant hearts of purity
To save our future,
To save the world!

Hala Elbanna, the winner of the International Poets award 2002 is preparing
three books entitled, Men & Women
with Broken Hearts: A
Guideline to Prevention & Management;
Violin Man;
and Collection of Poems
. She is currently a PhD candidate at Cairo University.
